Who's Fushi?
Fushi, the legendary first flying penguin, is no ordinary companion. At just 2 years old, he has already traveled across the world, attending countless events, visiting many countries and leaving a trail of chaos in his wake. Angsty, eccentric, and always up to mischief, he proudly follows the path of destruction - though he balances it with a love for meeting new people. With a small but devoted fanbase, Fushi thrives in the spotlight, often dressing up as his favorite characters. He's always ready to make an entrance - whether it’s in style or complete mayhem. Here we'll try our best to describe his unforgettable adventures.
How his adventures started
Fushi’s journey began at a convention in 2023, where he first caught Yoshi's attention. He came from Penguin Island, waiting for the perfect moment to find his new home. At first, Fuki firmly declared that we couldn’t bring another plush toy home - but Yoshi wasn’t ready to give up so easily. A deal was struck: if Yoshi won the cosplay competition, we could bring Fushi home.
That same day, victory was ours, and with it, Fushi officially became part of our lives. From that moment on, he was no longer just a penguin - he was our constant companion, following us to every event and traveling across countries.
Travelling across the world
So far, he has visited six foreign countries: Japan, Korea, Germany, Lithuania, Belgium, and France. Within Poland, he has traveled far and wide, visiting countless cities. His biggest moment, however, was in Japan, where people couldn’t get over of his charm. People were stopping to take photos of him and calling him cute. No matter where he goes, Fushi never fails to turn heads .
Fushi – A small Cosplayer
Fushi has attended local conventions and international events. But simply attending isn’t enough - Fushi believes that every event calls for the perfect outfit. That’s why he always tries to dress up in cosplays.
One of his most unforgettable moments was when he encountered another penguin cosplayer at a convention (Dokomi '23) —what were the odds of meeting of two cosplaying penguins?
Animal encounters
Fushi adores animals and has met many up close during his travels. He has visited numerous zoos, but his most surprising encounter was with a pack of wolves. The moment they spotted him, they rushed to the glass, curiously inspecting this small, mysterious visitor. It was an unforgettable moment that proved Fushi’s unique charm captivates everyone - even wild animals.
Other adventures
Fushi’s life is filled with wild and unforgettable experiences, but not all of them are ones he enjoys - like his regular baths, which he absolutely despises. He carries inside of him something truly special: a heart, lovingly sewn from felt, embroided by Fuki and stuffed with his original plush filling.
Beyond his usual mischief, Fushi has lived through some truly special moments. He’s been fishing and got tipsy on mini wine bottles during a flight. He touched snow for the first time - a very special moment for a penguin. He also attended a "strawberry" themed picnic and watched the northern lights dance over a lake at night.
His adventures took him to a sunflower field, the world of Hogwarts in Japan, and even onto a boat in the middle of a storm, where he got so drenched that he had to dry under a heater for an entire evening. He even tasted the famous pope's cream cake (kremówka) in Wadowice. Above all, he cherishes our trips to IKEA - solely for the plant-based meatballs. Fushi's journey is nothing short of extraordinary so check out his most important moments below.
